Mohammed's Wife

After Mohammed's first trance in which he heard words, he told his first wife, Khadija that he didn't know who had spoken to him. It was Mohammed's wife who told him that it must have been the angel Gabriel; Mohammed's claim to being a prophet originated from Khadija, Mohammed's wife.

Eager to be accepted as a prophet in his native Mecca, Mohammed initially claimed that God approved of Mecca's goddesses, Allaat, Uzzah and Manaat. But unable to reconcile 3 goddesses with his monotheism, he later changed his mind, confessing, "I have fabricated things against God and have imputed to Him words which He has not spoken." (Al Tabari, vol. 6, p.111) and said he had mistaken the words of "Satan" (Ibn Ishaq, pp.165-166) as God's.

A man who hears from Satan, mistakes Satan's words as God's, fabricates "things against God" and needs his wife to tell him that he is a prophet, isn't one.

Islam's other weakness is the book that Mohammed wrote and is rife with errors. Mohammed was illiterate and had only a value knowledge of the Bible, which is glaringly apparent in the Koran. For example, Mohammed thought that "Mary", the mother of Jesus, was the same person as "Miriam", the sister of Moses and Aaron, and stated in Surah 19:27-28 that the mother of Jesus is the "sister of Aaron", making Mary a 1,500 year old virgin.

Ever since it was written, the Bible has been probed and challenged by each generation's scholars, both religious and secular, and more and more of its details have been and continue to be proven true as archaeology, history, physics, biochemistry, astronomy and other disciplines advance.

Koran and its author have not been subjected to such scrutiny and this is by design. Muslim clerics, busy weaving elaborate theories to cover up the myriad errors and self-contradictions in the Koran, don't want the world to see them, hence the prohibition against reading the Koran in any language other than Arabic or raising questions about Mohammed's words and actions.
