What Can We Do?
We can start by praying for the persecuted Christians abroad who are crying
out to God for more bibles, and then ask God
to use us to answer their prayers.
If you're able-bodied, you can contact some of the
organizations on the next page and offer to go and deliver bibles across
borders. In a 2-week period, for example, you can deliver hundreds if not thousands of
bibles, which will result in many times that number of souls won for Jesus. Watching
God in action at the frontlines of spiritual warfare will also
strengthen your faith. And if caught at the
border, the worst that will happen to a US or Canadian citizen is
deportation, and you'll even get the bibles back for a small fee.
If you aren't able-bodied, you can sign up with one of the organizations on
the next page and send bibles or CD bibles by mail.
If you're already in a country that
restricts or prohibits bibles and you have access to a printer and the Internet, why not print chapters of the bible in the local language from
BibleGateway.com and give to those in need. (Here, for example, is
John chapter 1 in Chinese. Click on the drop down arrows for other
chapters and languages.) Every printer behind the iron curtain or the bamboo
curtain should become a bible
printer.
And we need to drastically increase financial support for the organizations that print and deliver bibles. Some of Jesus' busiest harvesters
currently live hand to mouth and work themselves to exhaustion every day. They do it
with God-given joy, of course, but are simply overwhelmed by the volume of
requests for more bibles. It's time
for the cavalry of Calvary to show up.
We also should spread the word about the need for more bibles. Please tell your
pastor, tell your churches and denominations, email your Christian friends, and refer or link to this website,
as well as the websites listed on the next page two pages.
